At Alfies we have been doing a bit of a jig on how best to present all of the lovely things we have done (we are getting there). We are still trying to photograph and catalogue historical work into a portfolio that shows a bit of everything, in truth we are having a hard time choosing the best bits from so many great projects that we have been so fortunate to have been invlolved in.
Coming soon we hope to have a website that not only showcases some of the best comissioned pieces, but also has a shop where you can buy "off the peg" invites, greetings and stationery as well as order your very own couture pieces.
So for now, featured below are a few of the highlights.
These guys have style by the truck load and deserved an invite to reflect that. They wanted something that would effortlessly combine Charlie’s 30th birthday and the party to kick start life in their new home. We came up with a quirky combination that presents both events nicely, at least we like to think so.

A 30th with a festival feel. This event went the whole hog with invites accompanied by bunting, banners and cake toppers for the day.
Photos of this event coming soon!

This invite set embraces golden summer days. The kind where the rays just beat down on you warming you to the core and the sunsets are almost orchestral. Summer is reflected with the use of a golden yellow for text with a dark earthy brown accent to add elegance.

A toughened up take on floral with a rose covered belly band wrapped around invite and info cards. Grey and green (bespoke colour matches to the bridal party wear) add an edge and bring this elegant patterned piece bang up to date.

Honey bees are the inspiration for this piece. A personal notelet and thank you card with a bee theme for a lady whose family make and sell honey. We think it's rather sweet…

Two teachers, one high school romance (they met at work) and a whole lot of school jotter theme going on. These guys really went to town on dressing their event and implemented the theme we created across not only their invites and stationery suite but bunting, balloons and even glasses screen printed with the “Katy + Kieran” brand mark for favours.
Photos coming soon.

Hello and welcome to the world to Isaac. He’s only just been born and already has his own classy correspondence set! A birth announcement card and "thank you for the gift" card start Isaac on the road to greatness and a love of letter writing, we hope.

Patterned but not too fussy (the brides words, not ours).
A design that doesn’t fall too far from the imagery of grand flocked wallpapers in mighty and majestic castles, yet carves its own personality into the hearts of every lucky recipient.
Elegant. Contemporary. Not too fussy.

Simple, elegant, timeless. A nice monogram is always in vogue.
Rachel and David are to be married in Cyprus overlooking the beach. Beautiful.
We did the invites for both the beach wedding (the same design as the one below but with the colours altered and the invite printed on gold cardstock) and the UK party and are proud of the simplicity and avoidance of the oh too easy cliches that can go along with a beach wedding.

When the client came to us mentioning viking helments (they got engaged in Iceland) there was an internal cringe moment of “how do we do this without looking Hägar’d”. The more we thought about it, the more opportunities to do something really quirky came up.
The invite, two info cards and a reply card, packaged into a Hessian bag (hand stitched by us to fit the invites perfectly) was sent in a clear plastic mailer. We are really quite proud of the result and more importantly our clients loved it and said it was a great reflection of their personality.

Traditional with a twist. The invites were printed flat on a crisp white card stock with a wrap around band featuring the headline information. The complete set gives the feel of an exclusive club night invite or vip event pack, just their style.
